ISLAMABAD, Sept 6: As many as 16 Indian players have sent in their entries for the ITF World Junior Ranking tennis tournament that opens in Islamabad later this month.

Secretary of the Pakistan Tennis Federation (PTF), Rashid Khan said on Saturday that among those 16 were 10 boys and six girls.

Entries have also been received from Sri Lanka and Thailand but surprisingly no Pakistani has enrolled so far.

Arif Qureshi and Shehzad Akhtar have been appointed as the referees for the tournament that runs from Sept 29 to Octo 5.

The tournament will be followed by the second leg, also in Islamabad, starting from Oct 6.
