GUJRANWALA, Sept 6: The anti-terrorism court No 1 on Saturday extended the deadline for submitting the cases of the Sialkot prison incident accused till Sept 11.

DSP Younus Bhatti appeared before the court and sought extension in deadline for submitting the case up to Sept 15 as investigations had not yet been completed.

Meanwhile, Sialkot jail former superintendent Sikandar Hayat, assistant superintendents Akhtar Iqbal, Raja Mushtaq, Ghulam Sarwar and other accused were present in the court and shifted to Gujranwala jail.

Two accused in the incident, former deputy superintendent Malik Iftikhar Ahmad and Inspector Zulfiqar Ali Virk, SHO of Sialkot Civil Lines, are still at large.

ACCIDENT: A motorcyclist and a minor girl were killed by a bus on the GT Road near Eminabad on Saturday.

Ahmad was on his way to Kamoki by his motorcycle (GAD-5820) along with Sonia from People’s Colony. When they reached near Eminabad, a speeding bus knocked them down. They were taken to hospital where they died soon after arrival.

The bodies were handed over to the family.

PACKAGE: The Wasa has announced a special package for defaulters with the offer that only 30 per cent deduction will be made from their outstanding dues if they clear the amount by Sept 15.

This was stated by Wasa managing director Muhammad Aslam Niazi while speaking at a meeting here on Saturday.

He said 10 per cent surcharge would be recovered from the defaulters after the deadline and their challans would be sent to court of a senior special magistrate. Similarly, he said that power connections of defaulters would also be severed after the stipulated date. He made it clear that the deadline would not be extended at any cost.
