ISLAMABAD, Sept 5: The National Accountability Bureau on Friday briefed an International Monetary Fund mission on the national anti-corruption strategy.

According to an announcement, NAB’s Brig Tayyab Waheed gave a presentation on the strategy to the fund’s officials, led by Milan Zavadjil.

He said the strategy aimed at a holistic approach to tackling corruption through prevention and awareness as complementary to the enforcement drive.

The focus of the meeting was the proposed reforms prohibiting the practice of ‘benami’.

A task force, including a NAB representative, has been established in the finance ministry on the issue.
