NAWABSHAH, Sept 4: Millions of people will become unemployed and local industry will be destroyed after the implementation of the World Trade Organization laws in the country.

This was said by Pakistan Wapda Hydro Electric Central Labour Union president Abdul Latif Nizamani at a news conference at the press club here on Wednesday.

He said the relief in subsidy and tariff would be stopped after the implementation of the law and Pakistan would have to bring a change in quantity, quality and cost to compete.

He further said he had submitted a resolution in the International Labour Organization against the WTO and was in close contact with labour organizations of other countries regarding the WTO policies.
