LAHORE, Sept 3: The national champion Carla Khan, based in England, said that she always loved to represent Pakistan in any international competition.

Talking to reporters at the Punjab Squash Complex during  her brief visit to Lahore for the first time, Carla said that she was ready to play for Pakistan whenever the squash authorities call her.

Carla, the granddaughter of former British Open winner  Azam Khan said that 

currently she ranked 34 in the world and she wished to improve it to 20 by the end of this year.

Carla, who made head lines when England refused to allow her to represent Pakistan in the last Commonwealth Games held at Manchester

due to her dual citizenship claimed, that now they were no restrictions in representing Pakistan in an international competition.

She remarked that women playing squash were doing well and she saw a good future for the game as far as women were concerned.
