AL QUDS, Sept 3: Israel has asked the United States to put pressure on Saudi Arabia to withdraw F-16 fighters deployed in a base near Eilat, Israel.

During the recent war in Iraq, the Saudis transferred the F-16s to Tabuk as a precautionary measure in case of an attack by Saddam Hussein’s regime.—AFP
