SUKKUR, Sept 2: At least 35 councillors and Naib Nazims were denied entry to the Sukkur Public School during the visit of Chief Minister Ali Mohammad Mahar on Tuesday.
The councillors raised slogans against the district government and held a protest demonstration in front of the school.
They were not allowed to enter the school as they planned to raise slogans against the Kalabagh dam and the Thal canal during the speech of the chief minister.
Our Khairpur correspondent adds: Hundreds of activists of the People’s Party Parliamentarians and Sindh Taraqqi Pasand Party took out a procession in Sobhodero to protest against the disputed water projects.
