LARKANA, Sept 1: The residents of Nadir Shah Paro held a protest demonstration outside the Hesco office in Ratodero on Sunday and damaged office furniture after the removal of power transformer from their area on the pretext of power theft.
Hesco line superintendent Abdul Ghaffar Abro lodged a case against 50 protesters for attacking the Hesco office and damaging its furniture.
Those nominated in the FIR included Mohammed Nawaz Khatyan, Nisar Ahmed Channo, Nisar Ahmed Soomro and others.
The police had so far made no arrest. However, the power supply to the area was restored.
Meanwhile, a group of villagers blocked the Airport Road for half an hour near the Junejo village on Monday to protest against prolonged power breakdown in villages around Moen- jo-daro.
The protesters alleged the Hesco officials were suspending power supply to their villages — Mandnyoon, Dandh, Balhreji and Shaikh — on the pretext of power theft.
