QUETTA, Sept 1: Border security authorities on Monday arrested 28 Iranian and Afghan nationals in Taftan area along Iran’s border for crossing into the country illegally.

“They entered Pakistan through unfrequented routes without any travelling documents,” a local administration official told Dawn over telephone.

After initial investigation, 22 Iranian nationals were handed over to Iranian border authorities.

However, six Afghan nationals belonging to the Hazara tribe were taken into custody and handed over to the Federal Investigation Agency.
