COLOMBO, Sept 1: The LTTE, which concluded its deliberations on the draft administration proposals, has expressed confidence in the government accepting its counter-proposals, but also warned of serious consequences should the proposals be rejected.
In two separate interviews from Paris, LTTE’s political wing leader S. P. Thamilselvan, and Eastern Commander Karuna Amman, both stated that government acceptance of the counter-proposals would create a conducive atmosphere.
But, while Thamilselvan expressed confidence in the government “considering the proposal positively”, Karuna warned of serious consequences, if the proposals are rejected.
