Hyderabad board announces Inter results

HYDERABAD: All three top positions in the pre-medical group were bagged by girl students in the annual examination of the High Secondary Certificate (HSC) part-II announced here on Thursday by the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Hyderabad.

Position holders mostly come from private colleges.

In the pre-medical group, Hurain, daughter of Mohammad Yousuf of County Girls College Hyderabad stood first with 948 marks; Sidra Anwar, daughter of Mohammad Anwar of Superior College of Science Latifabad bagged the second position with 945 marks and Soomal Rafique, daughter of Mohammad Rafique Rahu of the same college stood third with 944 marks.

Out of the 21,530 enrolled candidates, 21,440 appeared in examinations with 18,672 being declared successful. Result of 601 students is withheld. Percentage of successful boys is 82.72 and among successful girls it is 90.83 while on the whole it is 87.09.

In the pre-engineering group, Syed Aariz Mehdi, son of Syed Nayyar Abbas, of College of Excellence for Boys Latifabad Hyderabad secured the first position with 929 marks and Hamza, son of Dr Anwarul Haq, of the same college secured the second position with 923 marks.

Sidra Shaikh, daughter of Dr Abdul Majeed Shaikh, of Superior College of Science Latifabad with 922 marks and Moin Baig, son of Mujamil Baig, Government Boys College Qasimabad shared the third position 922 marks.

Out of the 18,374 enrolled candidates, 18,281 appeared and 11,199 candidates were declared successful and result of 604 is withheld. Percentage among successful boys is 60.86 and among girls it is 64.31 and percentage of successful candidates on the whole is 61.26.

In science general group, Khansa Dad, daughter of Dad Khan, of Government Girls College Hyderabad secured the first position with 792 marks and Bilqees Bano, daughter of Akhtar Hussain, of SZABIST intermediate college Tando Mohammad Khan secured the second position with 787 marks.

The third position is shared by Syed Abdul Moiz, son of Syed Abdul Wahid, of F.G. Degree College Hyderabad and Muntareen, daughter of Tanveer Ahmed, of Government Nazareth College Hyderabad with 777 marks.

Out of the 643 enrolled candidates, 642 appeared in exams and 235 of them were declared successful. Result of 15 candidates was withheld.

Percentage of successful boys is 37.57 and among girls it is 35.36 whereas percentage on the whole is 36.6.
