ISLAMABAD, Dec 19: President Gen Pervez Musharraf received a telephone call from General Tommy Frank of the US Army on Tuesday night. He briefed the president on the general military situation in Afghanistan.

It is understood that the political situation, particularly in the context of New Delhi’s threat to Islamabad in the wake of attack on Indian parliament building, was also discussed. It is learnt that concern was voiced over the Indian aggressive posture.—NNI
