Three security personnel injured in Hangu blast

PESHAWAR: Three security personnel were injured in a remote-controlled Improvised Explosive Device (IED) blast in Shenayari area near Dar Saman in Hangu ditrict.

Official sources said that the security forces' vehicle was hit by a remote controlled IED, injuring one Naib Subedar and two other personnel.

The injured personnel were shifted to a local hospital.

Security personnel cordoned off the area as a probe into the attack went under way.

Hangu borders the northwestern tribal region of Orakzai, one of Pakistan's seven lawless districts on the Afghan border considered to be the hub of Taliban and Al Qaeda-linked militants.
