LARKANA, July 22: The members of Asif Zardari Release Committee took out a procession here on Sunday to demand withdrawal of cases against the People’s Party Parliamentarian leaders Benazir Bhutto and Asif Ali Zardari.

They marched from the Kennedy Market to the press club. Mumtaz Ali Khakhrani, president of the committee, led the protesters.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr Khakhrani and others alleged that the government was keeping Mr Zardari in jail only to blackmail Ms Bhutto.

A group of 20 activists, including Shafique Pasha Bhutto, Ali Hassan Brohi and others observed a token hunger strike.
