Karachi: Three militants killed

KARACHI: Three suspected militants were shot dead in an `encounter’ in Manghopir area on Friday night, according to officials.

The law-enforcement agencies claimed that the deceased belonged to the outlawed Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan, and explosive material and suicide jackets were seized from the scene of the clash.

SSP West Irfan Baloch said that police and Rangers conducted a raid in a hilly area in Manghopir near a prayer ground. As the suspects saw police and Rangers, they opened fire. In the retaliatory fire, three suspects were shot dead.
