Private schools clinch top positions in Sargodha

SARGODHA: The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Sargodha, declared the results of the secondary school examination annual on Friday.

As many as 58,965 candidates appeared in the examination and 40,106 were declared successful with a pass percentage of 68.01.

Almost all positions holders belong to private schools. Six positions were captured by Sargodha-based Sanai School System. As usual the female students have maintained their superiority as their pass percentage remains 75.12.

Overall position holders: Tehreem Fatima of Sanai School System (Girls), Sargodha; Maham Sabir of Presentation Convent High School, Sargodha; and Muhammad Usama of Dar-i-Arqam Model School, Sargodha; clinched first position jointly with 1,060 marks while Ramsha Khalid Malik of Azam Khan Memorial High School, Kalabagh district, Mianwali; Zainab Ali of Sanai School System, Sargodha; and Sakina Arif of Eaglets Girls High School, Bhakkar; bagged second position jointly with 1,058 marks and Maryyam Mehmood of Dar-i-Arqam School for Girls, Jauharabad; got third position with 1,057 marks.

Science students (Boys): Muhammad Usama of Dar-i-Arqam Model School, Sargodha, obtained first position with 1,060 marks, Ali Haider and Muhammad Usman Shahbaz of Sanai School System, Sargodha, secured third position jointly with 1,056 marks and Zain bin Mehdi of Dar-i-Arqam Model School and Muhammad Usman of Government Higher Secondary School, Chak 46-SB stood third with 1052 marks each.

General Group (Boys): Sheikh Muhammad Haris of Sanai School System, Sargodha; bagged first position jointly with 984 marks, Muhammad Adnan Ashfaq of Jamia Darul Islam, Jauharabad, stool second with 945 marks and Umer Farooq of Adara Mueenul Islam, Birbal Sharif tehsil, Shahpur; stood third with 943 marks

General Group (Girls): Mah Noor of Sanai School System (Girls), Sargodha; bagged first position with 1,019 marks, Yasmin Jeelani of Government Girls High School, Dherema; stood second with 1,017 marks and Iqra Ashraf of Dar-i-Arqam Hostel, Bhalwal, clinched third position with 999 marks.
