ASI killed by women

FAISALABAD: An assistant sub-inspector (ASI) was killed by the women of the house he raided to arrest a proclaimed offender in Garh police limits on Friday.

According to a police spokesman, ASI Rehmat Ali, on a tip-off, conducted a raid on a house at Garh Fateh Shah to arrest proclaimed offender Jaafar Ali.

The female members of the family resisted and severely beat the ASI. As a result, he received critical injuries and was taken to the Allied Hospital where he breathed his last.—APP
