KARACHI, July 17: Iqbal Qureshi, joint secretary of Mohajir Qaumi Movement Haqiqi, has been given in the custody of Malir Police till July 19 by Judicial Magistrate Malir, Abdul Qudoos Memon.

According to police, he was arrested on charge of being in the possession of illicit arms. The police, producing him before the court, sought his physical remand for further interrogation.

The JM, perusing the police papers, remanded him to police custody till July 19.

Iqbal Qureshi was earlier detained under MPO.—APP
