LAHORE, Oct 11: Commenting on the news “Demonstration at LRC”, which appeared in the Dawn of Oct 11 (Thursday), the management of the Lahore Race Club has stated that the LRC stewards had been endeavouring to hold races as fairly as possible.

The LRC secretary Ata Ali Khan claimed Thursday that the last race on Wednesday (Oct 10) was fairly contested.

He said that there were three horses namely, Blu’s High, Barq Raftar  and Jee Salman, who were on chance.

The other runners were inexperienced. Jee Salman went lame during the race and Blu’s High and Burq Raftar finished first and second.

The LRC also stated that chairman Syed Fakhar Imam had left before the sixth and last race was run.—AG
