SWABI, July 10: The district administration has imposed section 144 banning swimming in the Pehur High Level Canal.

The inauguration of the canal has already been delayed for three months but the irrigation department was allowed to release 800 cusec water.

People rush to the canal for swimming each day, and there had been a number of deaths due drowning.—Correspondent
