PESHAWAR, July 8: Kohatians edged past Peshawarites 2-1 and book a place in the last eight of the NWFP football tournament at on Tuesday.

The match started with slow note but it took momentum when Peshawar Green stunned Kohat by taking an early lead through Ghulam Muhammad.

Kohat equalized through mid-fielder Sami Ullah in the 25th minute. after a mistake by Peshawarites’ goalkeeper Shakoor. right.

With both teams adopting defensive tactics the decider came in the 88th minute when Javed made no mistake to give Kohatians the victory.—APP
