KARACHI: Mushtaq Mirza passes away

KARACHI, July 5: A prominent politician and president of the Pakistan Democratic Party, Sindh, Mushtaq Mirza, died here after a protracted illness. He was 70.

Mushtaq Mirza had been suffering from the kidney ailment for the past two years and was on dialysis.

Mr Mirza, who was popular for his Haleem get-togethers of politicians, entered the political arena in 1956 when he contested his first election.

A large number of politicians belonging to political parties and groups have condoled the demise of Mushtaq Mirza and termed it the loss of a moderate politician. — APP
