ISLAMABAD: The Federal Board of Revenue has asked the Tax Advisory Council to come up with new revenue measures for the next budget 2014-15.

All members of the newly-constituted council have been asked to firm up their proposals in the next couple of weeks regarding increasing the tax-to-GDP ratio, improving tax compliance and increasing the revenue collection.

This would help the FBR get an input on tax policy issues, enabling it to adopt a pluralistic view representing divergent interest groups, and at the same time enhancing tax revenues.
