HYDERABAD, July 2: The directorate-general, health services, Sindh, has advised the people to drink boiled water to avoid gastroenteritis.

A handout issued here on Wednesday by the health directorate called upon the people to keep all edible items covered and to use fresh fruits and vegetables.

The handout said the people should avoid the consumption of all items which were lying exposed to flies and other insects.

NAIB NAZIM: Naib District Nazim Nawab Rashid Ali Khan visited the central jail on Wednesday and directed the authorities to expedite work on the construction of separate compound for women prisoners.

He was accompanied by EDO community development department (CDD) Mohammad Ibrahim Qureshi, Sardar Shafi Mohammad Saand and other members of the district jail committee.
