KARACHI, July 2: An accountability appellate bench of Sindh High Court, comprising Justice Anwar Zaheer Jamali and Justice Muhammed Mujeebullah Siddiqui, on Wednesday reserved judgment in an appeal filed by a former officer of PSO, Iqbal Turabi.
Barrister Azizullah Shaikh represented the appellants, while Mr Anwar Tarique represented the National Accountability Bureau.
The appellants, including Iqbal Turabi and his wife Najma Iqbal, had been convicted and sentenced by an accountability court on charge of accumulating wealth and property beyond their known sources of income.
Earlier, Mr Iqbal was sentenced to 10-year term and fined Rs95 million, while his wife was sentenced to five-year term and fined Rs95 million.—APP
