DUBLIN, July 1: Irish police appealed on Tuesday for information about five members of Special Olympics delegations from Niger and Pakistan who have gone missing in Dublin.
Police said none of the five had applied for political asylum.
If they did make an application for refugee status, they would be allowed to stay.
Four of the six-strong Niger delegation have been missing since they went shopping on Sunday.
Police named them as Sekouba Abdoulaye, 37, a team coach, and athletes Elassane Mamoudou, 28, Boikol Issaballo Ousmane, 25, and Hamagou Yalouba, 21. A coach with the Pakistan delegation, Mohammed Idrees Khan, 24, is also missing.—AFP
