LAHORE, June 29: The Punjab Livestock Department established on Sunday provincial flood cells to protect animals from epidemics during the forthcoming monsoon season.

A cell, established at the director-general’s office in Lahore, would provide immediate relief to farmers in case of any emergency.

The department has asked the district governments to stock all kinds of medicines to treat cattle. Besides, the district livestock officers and veterinary doctors will visit the potential dangerous places.
