PESHAWAR, June 29: Work on development schemes worth millions of rupees will be initiated in the provincial assembly constituency PF-7 of Peshawar under the Annual Development Programme and Tameer-i-Sarhad Programme during the next fiscal year.
The schemes to be executed under the ADP include widening and rehabilitation of Peshawar-Chagharmatti Road (Rs5 million), upgradation of Chagharmatti and Sufaid Sang high schools to higher secondary level (Rs7 million), upgradation of Charpariza middle school to higher secondary level (Rs2.8 million) and upgradation of Government Girls Primary School Ghazali Garhi to middle level (Rs2.5 millions), according to an official statement issued on Sunday.
The schemes to be completed under Tameer-i-Sarhad Programme with a total allocation of Rs5 million include construction of Opazai Road, Charpariza-Zoor Garhi Road, construction of a road from Salabai Chowk to Regi bus stand, Nisata Khurd Shahinda road, Chagharmatti-Garhi Fazal-i-Haq link road and construction of remaining portion of Fateh Bridge-Warana Qilla Road.
Besides, funds have already been allocated for the installation of transformers and electricity poles in the constituency.
