SANGHAR, June 26: No case has been registered against the man who had thrown hot water on his wife a few days back in Lohar Street, Tando Adam.

The victim was confined to a room by her husband for two days.

The victim’s mother came to know about her daughter and she took her to the Shahdapur police, which refused to register a case claiming that it was not in their jurisdiction.

The doctors refused to treat her without a police letter saying “it was a police case”.

After running from pillar to post for several days, the poor woman succeeded in obtaining a police letter to get her daughter treated.

Now the victim is being treated at the Taluka Hospital Tando Adam.

No public representative, MNA, MPA or police officer has bothered to visit the hospital.

Due to sheer poverty, the victim’s mother, Looji, begged to collect Rs200 to pay for the fare. She has a handicapped son.

On being contacted, the duty officer at the Tando Adam police station, ASI Iftikhar, claimed that no case had been registered as no one turned up to lodge an FIR.

MAN KILLED: Some unknown armed men barged into the house of a man, Ejaz Ali Keerio, 25, and shot him dead in Khadro late Wednesday night.

Ejaz had shifted along with his family from Setharja a few years back. The motive behind his killing is said to be an old enmity.
