DADU, June 26: A boy drowned in the Indus River, near the Dano Chandio village, on Thursday.

Four boys, Rahmatullah, Din Mohammad, Dilbar and Deedar Chandio, were taking a dip in the Indus River when they were swept away by a strong current.

Villagers and fishermen searched for the boys and after hectic efforts were able to rescue three. However, one of them, Deedar Chandio, 12, had drowned.
