RAWALPINDI, June 24: As many as eight courts in Rawalpindi and Islamabad are functioning without readers, an official source told Dawn on Tuesday.
The Ahalmad in these courts are performing the duties of the readers. In Rawalpindi, there are six courts without readers including that of additional district and sessions judge, Shaukat Ali Sajid and civil judges, Nadia Ikram, Mumtaz Ali Tarid and Khawar Kamal. In Islamabad district there are two such courts, the source said, where Ahalmad were functioning as readers.
