RAWALPINDI, June 24: The gulf between government and Gen Pervez Musharraf is widening, which has changed the whole political scenario, said the former senator, Asif Ali Zardari, while talking to newsmen after appearing before an accountability court in BMW reference here on Tuesday.
Commenting on the understanding between Jamali and Musharraf, he said the President’s recent visit showed how much he trusted in the present government. He predicted that the general elections would be held in November or December this year.
“What more can be disgraced for the government that even the foreign minister was not thought appropriate to be included in the president’s delegation to the United States and Europe”, he added.
He said the recent steps of the president clearly showed that he preferred bureaucracy on Jamali’s government.
Commenting on F-16 issue, Zardari said that it was the dire need of the country. Musharraf-Bush romance could be assessed by what he brings from US, he added.
About no-confidence motion against the Speaker, he said if there was not any danger to the speaker than why the government blackmailed the people through NAB cases.
