KARACHI: Sindh shooters maintained their traditional domination in the skeet event by striking double gold in the 21st National Shooting Championship at the Naval International Shooting Range here on Thursday.
Ahmed Sultan won the individual skeet gold by securing 14/16 points in the finals. Usman Chand of Punjab took silver and Abdul Sattar of Navy earned bronze.
The trio of Ahmed Sultan, Khurram Inam and Amin Karamat accumulated 326 out of 375 to claim the team gold for Sindh. Navy claimed silver and Army bronze.
In the boys and girls junior categories Navy’s Abdul Quddus and Javeria Shafqat of Army set new records in air pistol events.After day two, defending champions Navy were leading on the medals table with ten gold, four silver and six bronze medals. Sindh are second with two gold and one bronze while Army were placed at third with 1-8-4.
