Six policemen killed in Chechnya

ACHKOI-MARTAN (Russia), June 20: At least six policemen died on Friday in a suicide bomb attack in the Chechen capital Grozny, a Chechen official said.

Two suicide bombers, a man and a woman, also died in a powerful explosion when they drove a truck packed with explosives up to a Russian government compound in Grozny, the Interfax news agency said.

“The buildings of the anti-organized crime department and the ministry of justice were practically destroyed,” the official said.—AFP
