SHIKARPUR, June 18: A woman was killed by her husband and father-in-law on the pretext of Karo-kari in the Jawabpur Chandio village here on Wednesday.

Ghulam Mustafa Chandio, the maternal uncle of the deceased, Ms Wadhul, lodged an FIR against the woman’s husband, Nazal Chandio, and father-in-law, Wazir Ali Chandio, at the Dakhan police station.

HUNGER STRIKE: The Nazim, Naib Nazim and councillors of union council-8 of Shikarpur called off their hunger strike on Wednesday after they were assured by the Naib Nazim and members of the taluka council that their demands would be accepted.
