SUKKUR, June 17: The Sukkur Region Police on Tuesday arrested three people — Behram Jakhrani, Gadal Jakhrani and Lal Beg Jakhrani — allegedly involved in killing the DIG, Sibi, Abdul Aziz Bullo.
The DIG was killed in an ambush in Notal, Naseerabad district, Balochistan.
The Jacobabad police said that all the three accused who were nominated in the killing of Abdul Aziz Bullo were arrested after an encounter near Shahi Wah.
Police have already bulldozed their houses.
OPERATION: The five-day police operation against outlaws in border areas of Sindh and Balochistan ended on Monday.
Several wanted bandits were arrested, their hideouts and houses were bulldozed and a huge quantity of arms and ammunition was recovered from their possession in the operation, conducted jointly by the Sindh and Balochistan police.
Police officials of the two provinces told this correspondent on telephone on Monday night that the police staged combined flag march in the cleared area which was a stronghold of bandits for many years.
Sources in Sindh and Balochistan said outlaws fled towards RD-109, an area of Chakrani Bugtis, after their hideouts were busted.
The AIGP, Sukkur range, Rahoo Khan Brohi, said some wanted bandits were hiding in RD-109.
He said there was no political pressure on the police for an attack on the area. He said he could not give the date and time for attack on RD-109.
The IGP of Balochistan said the police were strengthening their hold on the cleared area. He said a plan was being made to capture RD-109 but it would take time.
SHOT DEAD: A landlord of Daharki, Bhalash Jakhrani, was shot dead allegedly by his cousin, Nazeer Jakhrani, on Monday night.
BREACHES: Three breaches, each 20-foot-long, occurred in the Nihal Wah, Daharki, on Monday, inundating Mohammad Alam Bhutto and Peer Bux Bhutto villages and damaging rice and cotton crops standing over 500 acres.
ACCIDENT: Sixty-year-old landlord Haji Allah Dino of Khanpur Mahar, Ghotki district, was killed when the tractor he was travelling in collided head-on with a Datsun pickup on the National Highway on Sunday.
The pickup driver escaped.
