KARACHI, June 16: In the public sector development programme for the Sindh province for the year 2003-04, the total budget outlay is Rs11,000 million, which includes a grant of Rs22.5 million from Japan.

The following is the district-wise break-up for the PSDP for the Sindh province:

For Hyderabad district, out of the Rs430 million allocated, Rs181.27 million were apportioned for six planning and housing schemes, Rs85.62 million for 24 education sector schemes, Rs27.93 million for eight health sector schemes, Rs30.49 million for abandoned schemes, and Rs71.25 million for approved schemes of 2002-03, while Rs24.15 million were apportioned for initiating new schemes.

For Dadu district, out of the Rs270 million allocated, Rs79.80 million were earmarked for 29 rural development schemes, Rs77.47 million for 17 education schemes, Rs12.16 million for seven health schemes, Rs14.47 million for an abandoned scheme, and Rs56.80 million for a new scheme.

For Thatta district, out of the Rs228 million allocated, Rs5.93 million were apportioned for four physical planning and housing schemes, Rs84.72 million for 45 rural development schemes, Rs46.59 million for eight education schemes, and Rs33.41 for an abandoned scheme, and Rs57.35 million for a new scheme.

For Badin district, out of the Rs228 million allocated, Rs34.19 million were apportioned for eight rural development schemes, Rs75.57 million for 11 education schemes, Rs1.73 million for four health schemes, Rs 57.14 million for an abandoned scheme and Rs57.80 million for a new scheme.

For Mirpurkhas district, out of the Rs250 million allocated, Rs28.17 million were apportioned for 11 physical planning and housing schemes, Rs71.79 million for 63 rural development schemes, Rs53.13 million for 24 education schemes, Rs10.50 million for five health schemes, Rs29.70 million for an abandoned scheme, and Rs55 million for a new scheme.

For Sanghar district, out of the Rs240 million allocated, Rs27.53 million were earmarked for 11 planning and housing schemes, Rs35.77 million for nine rural development schemes, Rs80.32 million for 21 education schemes, Rs11.18 million for six health schemes, Rs28.45 million for an abandoned scheme, and Rs55.50 million for a new scheme.

For Mithi District (Thar), out of the Rs223 million allocated, Rs29.95 million were apportioned for nine schemes of planning and housing, Rs16 million for two transport and communication schemes, Rs 88.68 million for 19 rural development schemes, Rs25.50 million for six education schemes, Rs23.36 million for two health schemes, and Rs36.30 million for a new scheme.

For Sukkur district, out of the Rs185 million allocated, Rs40.89 million were apportioned for 33 planning and housing schemes, Rs44.75 million for 47 rural development schemes, Rs74.54 million for 10 education schemes, Rs11.25 million for three health schemes, and Rs9 million for a new scheme.

For Nawabshah district, out of the Rs204 million allocated, Rs10.11 million were earmarked for three planning and housing schemes, Rs55.96 million for 57 rural development schemes, Rs80 million for 22 education schemes, Rs 20.33 million for nine health schemes, Rs3.67 million for a culture and tourism scheme, Rs16.22 million for an abandoned scheme, and Rs17.72 million for a new scheme.

For Naushahro Feroze district, out of the Rs206 million allocated, Rs18.53 million were apportioned for 12 planning and housing schemes, Rs35.85 million for 15 rural development schemes, Rs44.78 million for 15 education schemes, Rs7.36 million for six health schemes, Rs4.67 million for two culture and tourism schemes, Rs18.80 million for an abandoned scheme and Rs76 million for a new scheme.

For Khairpur district, out of the Rs232 million allocated, Rs17.27 million were apportioned for 11 planning and housing schemes, Rs90.29 million for 51 rural development schemes, Rs31.87 million for 48 education schemes, Rs21.62 million for an abandoned scheme, and Rs68.23 million for a new scheme.

For Ghotki district, out of the Rs204 million allocated, Rs4.10 million were apportioned for 19 planning and housing schemes, Rs43.48 million for 24 rural development schemes, Rs94.10 million for nine education schemes, Rs10.95 million for three health schemes, Rs14 million for a culture and tourism scheme, Rs4.98 million for an abandoned scheme, and Rs32.40 million for a new scheme.

For Larkana district, out of the Rs273 million allocated, Rs26.26 million were apportioned for 11 planning and housing schemes, Rs23.50 million for 19 transport and communication schemes, Rs59.24 million for 52 rural development schemes, Rs54.60 million for 11 education schemes, Rs27.85 million for 22 health schemes, Rs1.5 million for a culture and tourism scheme, Rs14.36 million for an abandoned scheme, and Rs56.99 million for a new scheme.

For Shikarpur district, out of the Rs184 million allocated, Rs47 million were apportioned for 16 rural development schemes, Rs34.11 million for 15 education schemes, Rs39.30 million for an abandoned scheme, and Rs63.60 million for a new scheme.

For Jacobabad district, out of the Rs239 million allocated, Rs90.97 million were apportioned for three planning and housing schemes, Rs14.27 million for eight rural development schemes, Rs12.48 million for four education schemes, Rs14.54 million for five health schemes, Rs38.78 million for an abandoned scheme, and Rs67.96 million for a new scheme.
