SIALKOT, June 15: The farmers residing in border villages in Sialkot and Narowal districts are unable to get Agriculture Development Bank of Pakistan (ADBP) loans due to the revenue department’s failure to provide the relevant record.
Talking to newsmen here on Sunday, Prail Union Council’s Chaudhry Nasir Mehmood said the farmers were in dire need of loans nowadays due to the damage caused by Indian shelling. He said that the revenue department was claiming that it had “lost all the revenue record of border villages”. On the other hand, the concerned authorities in ADBP had refused to issue loans without the revenue record.
