FAISALABAD, June 15: A man murdered his two children and injured another after a quarrel with his wife in Samanabad here on Sunday.

Rashid Mahmood (39), a father of eight, had been jobless for the last couple of years. On Sunday, following a quarrel with his wife over some financial issue, he attacked his children with a sharp-edged weapon, injuring three of them seriously. Sajida Parveen (5) and Shahbaz (8) died on way to hospital while Kiran, 6, was admitted to hospital.

The area people overpowered the accused and handed him over to police.

TWO KILLED: Two motorcyclists were killed when a bus hit them in Chak 197-GB, Samundri, here on Sunday.

Zafar and Ali were going on a motorcycle when a bus coming from the opposite side hit them. Both the friends fell on the road and died instantly.
