Jamali meets Soomro, Amir

ISLAMABAD, June 9: The government on Monday chalked out a strategy to tackle the situation arising after the protest by the opposition in the parliamnet.

Prime Minister Mir Zafarullah Khan Jamali met Chariman Senate Mohammedmian Soomro and Speaker National Assembly Chaudhry Amir Hussain, in the Prime Minister House.

An official handout after the meeting said that the speaker of the Natinonal Assembly and charimna Senate exchanged views with the prime minister on “matters relating to the forthcoming sessions of the Upper House and Lower House of Parliament.”

The announcement said that the prime minister talking to custodians of the two houses said that the government believed in upholding democratic values and promoting tolerance and accommodation.

He hoped that the parliamentarians would make every effort to maintain the dignity and decorum of the respective houses. —Staff Reporter
