JHANG, June 6: The district police officer has clarified that he is not boycotting his office after losing a tug-of-war over the posting of a subordinate.

In a press release issued on Friday, DPO Saleem Bhatti said he was on a leave due to some family exigencies.

He said the posting of junior officials was a routine matter in government offices, for efficient working and good governance. He claimed the chief minister never spoke to him on the subject.
