PESHAWAR: Former Khyber Pakhtunkhuwa chief minister and ANP leader Amir Haider Khan Hoti in a press conference said that allegations leveled by his father, Azam Khan Hoti, are baseless.
Jumping to defend Awami National Party (ANP) leader Asfandyar Wali, the junior Hoti maintained that Azam Hoti’s mudslinging had given a chance to political rivals and conspiracies are thriving.
Amir Hoti stressed that his father’s ramblings were nothing more than stories.
He said that the senior Hoti had taken a personal issue to heart too and turned it into an ego issue.
Arguments and disagreements are a part of family life and in a similar way political life too.
Clarifying the allegation about Asfandyar Wali owning a flat in Dubai, he said: “Wali does not even own a kiosk in Dubai let alone a flat. He lives there in a party member’s flat.”
He welcomed any investigations carried out by the government to verify the claims made by his father and added that in the past too he was called a Russian and an Indian agent too.
On Monday, Senator Azam Khan Hoti had accused party chief Asfandyar Wali Khan and Senator Afrasiab Khattak of entering into a “secret pact” with the United States.
Hoti claimed Asfandyar Wali Khan and Senator Afrasiab Khattak had “sold out the party” for a sum of 35 million dollars.
