Pesco work stopped

PESHAWAR, June 5: Work for improvement of power supply to Dara Adamkhel has been stopped due to interference of the inhabitants of Shekhan village, a press release issued by the Peshawar Electricity Supply Company said on Thursday.

It said the severe hot weather and increase in illegal use of power in  the area had increased load on the system, resulting in tripping of electricity supply for hours every day.

Electricity was supplied to Dara Adamkhel through two feeders from the Kohat grid station and work was in progress on the third feeder for  improvement of supply to the tribal area, it said.

Pesco Chief Executive Brig Tahir Saeed Malik appealed to the people of  the area to cooperate with the company.

He asked the tribal people to avoid blockade of roads in the area.

The company claimed that no loadshedding was being carried out in the province.
