LAHORE, June 3: Jamaat-i-Islami Chief Qazi Hussain Ahmed, hospitalized since Sunday with a heart problem, is receptive to medicines, after which doctors think no further investigations are needed for the time being.

As a result, the JI leader told reporters on Tuesday, he  would be leaving the hospital on Wednesday or Thursday.

Doctors  are  sending his reports to surgeons in London  for  a second opinion before deciding on further treatment.

PPP-Parliamentarians Chairman Makhdoom Amin Fahim sent the Jamaat leader a bouquet along with a get-well message on Tuesday.

Punjab Chief Minister Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi on Tuesday visited Doctor’s Hospital and enquired about the health of Qazi Hussain Ahmed, adds APP.

The Chief Minister remained with him for some time and prayed for his early recovery.
