PESHAWAR, June 2: The city police have arrested seven outlaws and seized a large quantity of narcotics and weapons from their possession in three incidents, said a press release issued on Sunday.
Acting on a tip-off, the West-Cantonment police raided a tailor’s shop in Liaquat Bazaar area on Sunday morning and arrested three persons, including a women, and seized 5kg of fine quality heroin from them.
The press release said the gang was active in smuggling heroin from Bara, Khyber Agency, to different areas in Punjab. They used to dump narcotics at the tailor’s shop for its smuggling down country.—Bureau
