HYDERABAD, June 2: The former employees of the Sui Southern Gas Company under the banner of the Sui Gas Action Committee held a protest demonstration outside the Hyderabad Press Club on Monday against the refusal of the company’s administration to reinstate them in service despite the orders of the Supreme Court.

Speaking on the occasion, the action committee leaders of the former employees, Zulfiqar Abro, Rahim Leghari, Idrees Abbasi and Liaquat Solangi, claimed that a full bench of the Supreme Court had reinstated 1,390 employees in service but the company had refused to obey the orders of the Supreme Court.

They warned that if they were not reinstated within seven days they would stage a protest sit-in at the head office of the company at Karachi along with their family members.
