LAHORE: 1,700 co-op victims paid

LAHORE, May 31: The National Accountability Bureau (Punjab) distributed on Saturday cheques amounting to Rs140 million among 1,700 affected people of cooperative housing societies.

The NAB has so far distributed Rs991 million among 18,467 victims of the scandal and Rs1.15 billion to different banks.

NAB director general Abdul Jabbar Bhatti said at a cheque distributing ceremony that the account holders of small companies would be paid off soon. The cooperative wing of NAB was working hard and would provide payment to all remaining account holders in future.— Reporter
