QUETTA, May 29: Teams comprising senior officials of police and other law enforcement agencies have been formed for investigation into Wednesday night’s bomb explosions here.

Home Secretary Dr Badaruddin Ujjan told Dawn on Thursday that no trace of the gang involved in the explosions had been found so far but efforts were under way in this connection.

Levies posts had been set up on the mountains and they would be reinforced, he said.

Security was beefed up in the city and police patrolling was increased.

It was decided in a meeting that the abandoned checkpoints of the Balochistan reserve police on the mountains surrounding the valley should be reopened.—Staff Correspondent
