SUKKUR May 26: Three employees of the PTCL were kidnapped by a group of bandits in the jurisdiction of the Ahmadpur police station, Khairpur district, at 10:30pm on Monday.

PTCL supervisor Ashiq Channa along with his driver and a telephone operator were on the way to Saddar-ji-Bhatian from Ahmadpur when their car was intercepted by the armed bandits. The bandits kidnapped the PTCL employees, leaving behind their car.

INJURED: Two robbers and a police constable were injured in an armed clash near Bhatti Hospital here on Sunday night.

Two robbers were hiding in the area to snatch a motorcycle.

When three policemen reached near the hospital on a motorcycle, the criminals tried to snatch the motorcycle from the policemen who resisted which led to an exchange of fire.

As a result, police constable Allah Warayo and robbers Mujeeb Mahar and Akber Mahar were injured. The policemen arrested the injured robbers.

The police claimed that both the robbers, residents of Chak in Shikarpur district, were wanted in dozen of cases of robbery and motorcycle snatching.
