PESHAWAR, May 25: The joint action committee of doctors, teachers and students threatened to hold a protest demonstration in front of the NWFP Assembly on May 28 for the acceptance of their 11-point charter of demands, said a press release issued here on Sunday.

It expressed concern over the deceptive tactics adopted by the NWFP government and said that the JAC was twice given time for a meeting with the chief minister, but the meeting didn’t take place. If the government could deceive the JAC, which is the representative body of doctors, teachers and students, then what would be happening to the general masses, JAC said.

The JAC said that it was continuously making efforts for the solution of its problems for the last three months, but the government was unwilling to give a receptive ear to them. It vowed to continue their struggle till the demands are met.
